Hi, I’m Michelle Milthorpe, your community-backed Independent Candidate for Farrer.

Born and raised in Cootamundra, NSW, I now live in Jindera with my husband and 3 girls. 

Here in regional NSW, I’ve seen city-centric party policies fall short of delivering what we need in Farrer. I am passionate about achieving equity for regional Australians and my empathy and strong sense of social justice means I will work hard to fight for what our Farrer communities need.

My connection to this region is strong, having lived within the Farrer electorate for much of my life, so I recognise many of the unique problems and challenges facing the diverse communities within our electorate.

The seat of Farrer has been considered safe for too long. Our issues are not being heard or addressed.

I am here to listen, learn and lead. I want to get to know who you are and what you need, so that I can be a genuine representative for our electorate.

I am determined, persistent and can achieve positive outcomes in the face of adversity, with a proven ability to make change happen. I will be present, and I will not give up on what our community needs. 

I am a mother, a daughter, a friend, a coach, a teacher, a leader, a former small business owner, a volunteer, and an advocate: I am a member of our community, and I want us to be heard.
